Metal Monolith Composition

Metal Monolith - Customize to Maximize Geometric Surface Area and Lower Flow Resistance

The substrate is a metal foil such as stainless steel alloys. The metal substrate is a crimped ribbon, which is then formed into various shapes and sizes. The metal foil is etched and it is coated with aluminum oxide (alumina) which is heated (calcined) to reform the crystalline structure to obtain the maximum adsorptive surface area capacity.

The precious metals are then impregnated by an electromechanical process and activated with heat and volatile organic compounds.

Metal monolith can be supplied in a variety of coatings and cell structures to maximize geometric surface area and lower the resistance to flow.
